Pod Claws are sold as a set of adaptors and a Claw footing. The Adaptors are made of 6061 T6 aluminum, anodized for strength and appearance. Mil Spec Pod Claws are the same size (large 3" small 2.5") as the standard Claws. They are made to comply with Mil Spec standards for strength and durability.
We created the Patent Pending 2.5" Small Pod Claws system after years of using bipods with rubber footings. While most bipods are excellent in design, they are limited in their ability to remain stable on surfaces other than flat hard terrain. Most shooters have experienced their bipod sinking in loose soil, or "Hopping" on recoil moving the rifle off target requiring constant aiming corrections. The Pod Claws system is designed to upgrade, not replace most commonly used bipod systems such as the Harris™, Versa-Pod™ and other commonly found bipods. Our system uses an easily installed Patent Pending adapter that pivots front to back with interchangeable footing accessories. Using a standard 1/8" hex type wrench you will have the ability to quickly change footing accessories within minutes to adapt your rifle to whatever operating environment you may encounter. As of today, some bipods costing several times more than the Pod Claws system can offer you only one footing choice. Using your bipod you will have the versatility to change from wide flat rubber footings to Ski's, Claws or Spikes, you will be able to choose whatever footing you want whenever you want it.
