This mag catch is about .020 higher where it holds the mag in the gun. Some guns the mags hang down fromthe frame being off on the outside or the mag catch hole being off a little. This Catch will hold the mag up higher in the frame (provided there is a small gap under the front of your mag in your gun.) and the result is better feeding with 8 round 45 mags and hollow points. Checkered, machined from a solid barstock of steel. Not Mim and not cast. Available in blued carbon steel and Hard Chromed.
